Minimized Apps not showing on dock

So, sometimes when I minimize my apps the dock will create a blank space for the icon but the icon won't show up. Then when I close the app, the blank space is still there and when I hover over it the name pops up and I can't get rid of it. I just want to know how do I fix it from creating a blank space and actually putting an icon and closing when I close the app.

Try clearing the Object Dock cache:

Here are the instructions on how to do so:

Before doing any of this back up your settings. (save your theme)


-Open any folder on your computer (My Computer works, too)
-Open Tools->Folder Options (on Vista, hit F10 to see this menu)
-Under the 'View' tab, Click the "Show Hidden Files\Folders" option
-Click OK out of that dialog

Then go to Start>Run (or Start>Start Search in Vista) and paste the following:

for XP: %userprofile%\local settings\application data\stardock

for Vista: %userprofile%\AppData\local\stardock\

Delete any ObjectDock or ObjectDock Plus folders in this directory.

reboot then restart Object Dock then reload your theme.

If this doesn't work then post more info:

OS version and SP level  Object Dock version and build number list any docklets your using.
