Lighten up

I sit here in front of the screen,
My eyes don't even focus
I'm numbed from thought
Political broadsides
I don't know what I did today

What did I eat for lunch...
Oh it was that greasy burger thing.
I surely couldn't tell you
What I did last night
What I did in math today
Or what I said to Samantha

That sounds bad, let me take it back
I really enjoy listening to her talk, when she does
She's so quiet.
She's got the job of keeping me sane
Through basketball, and less importantly
Through this next week, I'm going to burn out on JU.

Consider this a vent, it's really more a vaccine.
I'm about to kill myself, another minute
IN FRONT OF THIS DAMN SCREEN.
I'm going to clear MY mind, I hope you don't mind
Here we go

duality, Samantha, shiny ring, pain in my neck, dog sleeping, what will people think of this article, can't sit up straight, read for economics, work on paper, stop thinking about school, fall asleep, pick up Emma, maybe see Sam, I'm in no shape to see her, don't get nervous she's your girlfriend, stop it *done*

I'm far from good, I can't put anything to words. It's mainly just rambling, obviously moreso in that last little sector.

Andy, the artist always is his own greatest critic. I thought it was good, and I'm the poetry kid at AC. Of course, you wouldn't know unless you are on JU or have ever looked at my sketch book.

Have you ever read some of my JU poems? They ramble a lot more than this.

I'm glad you've got a significant other to help you with your problems. Sam is a lifesaver every day. I don't know what kind of mess I'd be getting myself into now if she wasn't there for me.

If you ever need to vent, you know who I am.

Peace, man. Peace.

Things will be ok Andy. I think some of us here know that. Some have been through or are still going through what you are and have been. Take me for example! I'm here for ya if you need to talk to someone.

That's the key to poetry, rambling on and on for a few stanzas...

THANK YOU 10TH GRADE ENGLISH! I'm sure if I feel the need to bullshit some article for points, I'll be thanking our present english teacher.

Dude, you want a critic? I can help?

To be totally honest, I didn't really like it that much. Again, the flow kept getting messed up and the wording was a little ify but otherwise, not too bad.

In case nobody has noticed I like flow and wording. If you can't find the right word to go in the blank then go back and start over... you're better off that way, IMO

Capt. over and out!

Thank you Brandon.

I need your voice of reason to keep me grounded. ...You guys know you don't have to agree with and completely back everything I do? If you sincerely thought it was good, well then thank you. If not, I hope you didn't lie and say you liked it.
