How do you bounce icons...

with ObjectDock Plus 1.9?

I have ObjectDock Plus 1.9, and I cannot find an option to bounce the icon in the dock when launching an app, and when trying to call attention. The free version had this option, please tell me the Plus version does. Also, is it possible to have an application bounce, or flash, until it gets focus, instead of just for a few seconds? Thanks

Click on "General" at left of main config screen.

Click on "Miscellaneous Options" button.

At bottom of new window is "Advanced Options for Magnifying Docks" "Attention" Effect

Select Bounce.

Only standard docks can use bounce, tabbed docks won't.  Don't think you actually have to have magnification turned on, but maybe.

As far as I know, there is no additional option such as "until gets focus" or such, or to adjust timing of bounce, it just bounces or it doesn't.

Happy bouncing. |-)

Nope, magnification doesn't have to be turned on, just checked.  Guess I could've done that first, eh?

I have a question that is in line with this. I have the bounce feature checked and they bounce fine! AFTER I click on them. Any emails, IM's or anything else that requires my attention such as a program ending (DVD Decrypter comes to mind) never bounces. Or glows, or rocks or any of the other effect options. The minute I click on the icon to check, it starts bouncing then. If I didn't have my email set up to give a verbal notice, I'd never know if I had new email unless I open the window.

Is there any way to fix this? In the background programming even? I'd really like the icons to bounce when they're supposed to.

Thanks!
