Interface Options - GalCiv II DA

Hello,

I´ve bought The Ultimate Edition and want to play DA first. In the Interface Option from GC2 DA is a Slider for "Detail Animation Zoom Level" (0 - 100).I can´t find any Explanation in the Manual or the Forum. Moving the Slider from 0 to 100 seems to have no effect on the Ingame Graphic. Please, Someone can explain this function. What is the best setting (best graphic ingame or so).Thx for help.

That setting determines what zoom level detail animations (such as tiny ships being shown orbiting planets when you zoom in) are shown at. I don't have access to the game at the moment to double check which is the high/low end, but if you check both ends while zoomed in on a planet that has ships present, it should become apparent.

Thx for the fast reply. I  test it, but can´t see any difference. But  I was on the beginning of playing this game and there are might not enough Ships on the display to test it yet :). I hope, after a while of playing, there are many ships at the planets to make a new  test. Pls. tell me about the best option, if you get acces to GalCiv2 DA in the future.

I was new at this forum and I was impressed about the good Community. I read a lot in this forum before buying and playing the game. It helps a lot to get into the game as a newbie.

There is also another option to 'Show or not' ships around planets which would be needed to actually see the effects of different animation zoom levels. <_<

Thx Zyxpsilon,

now it works. The option was not higlighted in my options. Now i can see ships in Orbit. Zoom level 100 shows in all distances the ships. Towords Zero you must zoom in to see these ships.
