Endless/Ultimate Edition?

Endless is DA and TA together with the need of DL removed.  This is an European release by Klypso (sp) since DA nor TA have had an European release yet and they don't own the rights to distribute DL.

Ultimate is DL/DA/TA all together, US release from Stardock.

Kalypso is actually doing a full bundle under that name, since they bought the rights to DL from Paradox. Also Europe-only.

Didn't look close enough on amazon to notice that both editions were published by Kalypso.

So 'Endless' is just the expansions with the base game missing, 'Ultimate' is the base game plus the expansions.

Must admit I'm a little surprised that the expansions will work on their own without the original material from the base game. I'd have thought you'd lose a lot of basic stuff without the original game, but I guess they've made it work somehow.

Yeah, the DA-TA bundle was specially modified for that purpose.

Ah...last I remembered you saying they hadn't the rights for DL yet...that or my mind is fuzzy lol.

Does the EU (is the abbreviation coincidental? ^^) release miss other features than the Dread Lords single player campaign? Never played it though...

Apologies for asking this question (since I know I've seen it before, but I can never remember what the answer is): 

Is there, at any point, going to be a full bundled version (DL, DA, & TA) released here in the U.S. that will be available as a phyical copy?  And/or will there be the same for the expansion bundle (DA & TA) at some point in the future? 

I know there's the digital download available for both, but I always really like to have a physical disk (or disks) in an actual box.  I'm just strange like that.

Also, will these retail bundles become available from SDC?

I was going to DL both expansions until I came across these new releases.  On a side note...why were the expansions never released as a bundle together from SDC? (a bundle uncluding a mailed disk option)

We have no plans for any new GC2 retail packages that I'm aware of.

I thought you took weekends off....

So these new packs will not be found via SDC and are for retail only?  Endless Universe in Europe, and Ultimate in North America?

On another note, as far as DL from SDC, will you be bundling the expansions together with available CD shipping?  I would rather support the most respectable software company on the planet directly. before going the retail route.

On another note, now that Brad is working on an updated manual for ToA, will the tech tree be updated via PDF as well?  Just wondering, because I assume that my tree that came with the Collector's Edition will be obsolete at best.

Both of those retail boxes are only in Europe; Kalypso initially did Endl.Uni., but are now doing the full package since they've gotten the rights to DL from Paradox, as above. Yeah, the name of the latter is confusing since that's also what we call the download bundle, but they're the ones that named it that

There is no retail package in the US beyond GC2 Gold; TA continues to be available only directly from us in regions not served by Kalypso.

You can get a TA CD from us, it just won't be in a fancy box. GC2 Gold does have the full retail box, though. As to if we plan to at some point provide a bundle pricing option on GC2 Gold + TA CD, that I couldn't say.

Okay, that's a stupid question -- I *know* I'll end up getting them sooner or later.     I would dearly love to be able to get everything in just one box, though. 

Cd sleeves will fit in my Collector's Edition box, so no problems there

The bundle would be nice for both expansions, especially in light of Kaly's European offering....maybe nudge Sir Frog in the right direction?   

If I were to order now the way it stands, would they at least be processed and shipped out together in the same box? (it would make sense afterall)
