Skin: Greyscale

having trouble with transparency

Hello, This is my first time skinning for Windowsblinds, and im having a bit of trouble with the transparency of my skin.

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

I'm using The GIMP 2.4 to make this, saving the files as PNGs and exporting them to TGA with Skinstudio.

this is the mockup i madeand this is how its looking so far :(

Looks like Acrylic but black.

Heh is that a compliment or something. :P

I Ain't going to lie, I'm using Acrylic as a template (since its so awesome) but all the graphics you see on my mockup are built out of scratch.

I ported the xcf file to a PSD since i presume you all use photoshop, just so you can see the differences and similarities.

well, that very well may be, but what youve ...done.. looks pretty similar.. for example.. if you look at the top layer, background, which I assume is greyscaled acrylic, looks like you just sorta.. traced it?

Anyway.. its not my skin, im just sayin.. If it were me, I'd try to be a bit more original.

As far as transparency.. all you have to do is import a transparent png or tga and make sure the transparency and translucency heckboxes are checked.

Good luck.
