Off the Mountain

Good Evening Everyone,

 

The gods and My Little Honey seem to be with us as she has managed to get the builder to let us move into our new house before closing. So, I will be off in the morning back to Las Cruces and away from the Refuge.  This last three weeks here have been a good experience for me.  Interrupted by weekend trips back to the city, my days have been spent for the most part in solitude and meditation. 

 

I have regained a deep sense of appreciation for this house and the peace it offers me.  That said, I do miss very much my wife, family, and friends. I also miss my weekly Temple based activities: Monday Night Meditation, Wednesday Breakfast Club, Thursday Breakfast with the Boys, Friday night Shabbat, Talmud study on Saturday morning.   I have missed sitting at the Peace Vigil on Wednesdays, as well.

 

With the new Zendo opening soon, I look forward to adding other Zen-based activities to my week: Thursday evening Zazen and Saturday morning Zazen.  I am so fortunate to have so much in my life that offers me both support and opportunity to grow.

 

Morning Note:

 

Well, the Refuge is cleaned and closed.  I am now sending this out from Jamocha Bean in Cloudcroft, NM on my way back to Las Cruces. I look forward to being in my new home soon, although it will probably be this weekend before we are actually moved in.
