Yeah, today is my 43rd birthday. Some folks make a big deal over their birthday. For me, it's another day on the road. I am layed over for the weekend in Hammond, Louisiana and will go to the little bar down the street from the truckstop to have a couple cold ones tonight, but that's the extent of my big plans for the day.
I am in a town where I am a stranger, and everyone is a stranger to me. No close freinds or family to celebrate with, or to wish me a good day. But that's ok. I'm too old to make a big fuss over birthdays any more. Perhaps, being Saturday night, I'll have a few laughs and enjoy the evening. Could possibly even make a new friend or two, you never know.
But for right now, yeah, big deal, it's my birthday. Another day in another town.
