Dread Lords Gold Ed, why isn't Life Support showing up?

Adv Life Support not in tech tree.

Hello everyone,

I just got this game from PAX this weekend and have a question.

I'm attempting to make a Sensor Ship to probe and harvest asteroids. One of the requirements is "Advanced Life Support"

Look a tech tree documentation, I see that Life Support is supposed to be under Xeno Engineering | Basic Logistics | General Life Support

Problem is... when I look at my tech tree, this option is not available. Only Enhcanced Logistics and Advanced Hulls appear on the tree.

Am I missing something, or is this some sort of bug?

Please advise, thanks! Would love to enjoy this game!! Looks really fun!

Are you playing one of the campaigns? When playing the campaign missions, the tech trees are partly restricted (and unlocked in later missions).
