Trade ships

I hope to see trade ships that you actually produce in the future.  Where they do away with the current trade system and add a new trade ship shipyard.  One that only becomes buildable once you build a trade station.  And a more indepth research tree in trade that would allow for construction of larger industrial type trade ships.

Each trade station could have a few products that are determined by the planet they are built at and supplied at a rate determined by POP and research.  Each trade station would have demand rate, for each type of product, dependant upon the POP of the planet. Each product would have a set value for each empire and as long as the station had product to sell(demand use auto), you would have proffit from that trade station in that sector.

I see this as where you will have to assign escourts for your trade fleets.  Where each and every one is important to your economy and so you will protect it as such.

Just some other random stuff i would like to see.

Would like it to be more difficult to conquer a planet. Or perhps a time based restriction option(for SP) for the buildup of a colony fleet, based on POPs of your planets.

Would like to see rebel fleets in sectors that have low allegiance, where if left unchecked could take the planet and become their own faction.

And a more personalized diplomacy menu with more options...where you can offer missions too. Certain things should alwasy provide a boots to relations... like attacking a rivals ships or facilities. Or giving credits and ore.  Special missions should give a big boost like a request for help.  or a request for certain goods( with the trade stuff i mentioned).

Really like the game it is addictive... but gets rather boreing and repetitive after a while. Would like some stuff like this to spice it up a bit. Make each game more random and unique in that you dont know what is going to happen.  Rebels could take over a part of space you though was locked down... you may corner yourself economicaly by being agressive with other races and lose trade opportunities, while rivals flourish and build massive fleets.

All games get boring and repetitive after a while !

Your trading ideas are interested, but no thankyou !

Rather than making colonising harder, I'd prefer to be able to capture a planet without bombarding it into ancient history.

Rebels can wipe out a planet now, but the way the game is designed, to colonise the planet they have to be given it at the beginning of a game. So implementing this is a major design change. Locked down space ? There is 'unlocked' space and what I've colonised. Where else is there for rebels ? If I havent colonised it yet, its largely irrelevant who owns it. And its not 'locked down' until I own it.

Yes to missions, yes to acts of generosity actually improving your standing with them (I tried it and there wasnt any movement in percentage at all, so just a waste.). I would like to see reasons for not doing a mission without penalty, where you can refuse a mission because its against an ally and negotiate an alternative, like hitting someone else, or paying in money or resources instead.

Wishful thinking man, full on 4x games don't do that even. Don't get me wrong but if the 4x don't even do it then what hope does the brand new RT4X genre have of doing it? Or rather not what hope, but what are the odds?

I would rather see the ability to make demands and stuff myself like in a regular 4X game. The fact that it wasn't made that way in the Diplomacy part of the game makes that part feel very stale and lop sided.
