I can't play Sins of a Solar Empire plz help!

Hello,

I am brand new to the forums. So here is my problem, I installed Sins of a Solar Empire, then I installed Stardock Central to get all of my updates. So after I made a desktop icon, I double clicked on it to play then an error message comes up saying: The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000005). Click on OK to terminate the application. Please someone tell me what to do I bought this game for $40.00 bucks and I really really want to play it! (Been 3 days after purchace)

Can you launch it from within SDC?

One other thing you can try, download the demo from Fileplanet or Filefront or something, and see if it runs. Or uninstall SDC/reinstall Sins and try to run without patching (or use the 1.05 standalone patch).

Basically trying to narrow down whether it's SDC causing it, or the game itself.

If you contact [email protected] about this, they should be able to help you figure it out.

SDC does the same thing, it shows an error message. And also if I install a demo I won't get all of the features. I'm doing what kryo said but at [email protected]

The point of installing the demo is to see if it runs or not, not as an alternative to the game :P [email protected] won't be able to help you, [email protected] like kryo suggested for game issues, since they are the developers.

Yeah, our guys only handle Impulse/account stuff for sins. Actual game issues need to go to IC's own support crew.

Click on OK to terminate the application.

I want a "Not OK" button.
