seting up problems

me and sume frends borght this game so we could play eatch outher but we are haveing the problme of that nun of us can hoast a game i know that there are lots of explanations on these forums to help me set up but i cant under stand them.

i have downlodid PFConfig from port forword.com

can some one please walk me throu it on a step by step gide in plane english please

(i am not up on all my it work so no point in saying things like open you port opions or sumthing you will have to gide me throu on how to get there e.g. right klick on menue go to contrle panel.... things like that. and i use vista

Please download and follow my step-by-step guide "Networking and SINS" which can be found linked-to right under the GREEN writing in the OP of this thread

EDIT:

You and your friend could install IMPULSE (www.impulsedriven.com) which is Stardock's new distribution system (and will be needed to patch the game from now on..) and patch your games to version 1.1 BETA (v1.09) which has new optional netcode that you don't need to forward past routers/firewalls in order to host. :)

i cant seem to get it to work :) my bt home hub woant let me for sum reson. do you have aney gides as to how to use the pf config program fom http://www.portforward.com/default.htm ?

Can't get what to work? Downloading and reading my guide? Installing the BETA for game version 1.1 via Impulse?



If you want to run game version 1.05 then follow my link and download the guide under the GREEN writing.

--or--

If you want to host without having to configure anything, then you'll have run game version 1.1 BETA (v1.09) via my instructions above.


Those are your options.
