MEDIA PLAYER IN SYSMETRIX

Can someone explain to me how to use the media players in my sysmetrix skins. i have downloaded several skins and none of which open a media player or play any music. do i need a player open before trying to use the player on my skin???

any help is greatly appreciated.

I don't recall ever setting it to use a specific player on my machine but I know if I am using a skin with a media player in it then it automatically opens VLC when I click a media control.
