HELP. WindowsBlind 6 isn't skinning new Office 2007 software.

Hi,

This is my first post, so hope I'm in the correct board.

I have a purchased copy of WindowsBlind 6 and the program works beautifully! Love it!! However, as the title states, WB 6 isn't skinning the new  'Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007' software that I installed yesterday.  Have tried the WB6 "Change the look of app" feature under the Settings tab, and still can't get Office to skin.  WB skinned Microsofts 'OneNote' included in with my Office package, but I can't get Word, Excel, and Powerpoint skinned.

Am I doing something wrong, or is it just not possible to skin those programs?  Have copied/pasted WB's System info below.

Sandynfids I don't think you are doing anything wrong, I'm not sure it can skin those. I could be totally wrong bu I thought I saw something posted before about this in the forums.

Lets see what some other folks come up with. I run XP and have an older copy of Works Suites and it does skin it. Yeah, not help what so ever.  ;)

WB 6 skins Office 2007 but only on Vista, not on XP. That was discussed a year ago here...

Hi Philly0381 and Moletai, thanks for the replies. I've not been using WB6 that long, and although I frantically Googled and searched the board regarding this issue, I didn't run across that tid bit of info. My next computer will have VISTA so it's good to know that I'll be able to skin Office 2007 then. In the mean time guess I'll just have to put up with the 3 skins Office has built in. YUCK! Could I possibly be spoiled by WindowsBlind already?! LOL. Anyways, thanks for the help. Have a good one! :)

Sandynfids it doesn't take long to get spoiled.  ;)

There is one thing you can do, search the WindowBlinds library. I believe a skinner made a WB skin to look like Office 2007. If that doesn't work you could look for a skin whose colors match up. Worth a try untill you get that new computer.  ;)

Hi Philly0381, thanks for the tip! I will see if I can find the skin you mentioned...hope the skin name will reference *Office 2007* as there are a LOT of skins to go through. lol Ok, I’m on the hunt… :D
