Okay so i finally gave in and shelled out the money for the digital download version of Sins of a Solar Empire, because it looks awesome and as time goes on i would imagine it'll get better and better in the way that Total Annihilation did with unit packs, mods and community effort. I expected to have to use the Stardock download manager, but it seems the new Impulse thing is out instead.... so i install that, struggle with a complete lack of download activity until i look on the forums and discover that there's a way to use the 'new' download method.

So i select that, and lo and behold! It starts downloading! But wait... why does it say the file is only 800MB in size when it should be 1.5GB? Repeatedly?! Tried downloading the sins demo too and it claims that this is smaller than it should be as well. I know for a fact it's not my intenet connection-i'm at i34/M Festival at the moment and the super internet they have here was downloading sins at 800kb/sec! First thing i'll do is deactivate windows firewall but if anyone can sort me out with a solution or any advice at all, i will be delighted
