GalCivII: To update or not to update....The question is HOW?

Situation: I have GalCiv II. Impulse says : Update available. I press update. Many many minutes later it has downloaded approx. 90% of the update,

then says: Download Error.

I have enough space on the harddrive.

I have waited patiently and I mean PATIENTLY!

And I don't know what to do.. other than ask my question.... HOW to update?

Please Help.

Could it be something simple as just turning off any Firewalls you have up while downloading?

Just a thought. Turn off any sleep stuff (especially hard drive sleep), sometimes a download or upload does not get the priority it needs.

You could try clicking on the Stardock logo in the upper left hand corner, selecting "Server", then changing from one server to another. USA-1 to USA-2, or vice versa. I don't know if it will help, but it's worth a shot.
