Here's my issue...

My gaming rig has a wireless adapter that's, well, pathetic.  I don't have Impulse installed on the gaming rig yet, but I just installed it on my laptop.  I finally managed to figure out "where" to download the patch, I think, and I'm currently downloading something that is 876 megs.  As it doesn't show the exact file I'm downloading, I feel as though I'm downloading the entire game!  Hope it doesn't ask me for my credit card at the end.   In any case, I'm hoping that it's the patch, since I couldn't locate it under the updates section since the game isn't installed on the laptop.

So assuming that it is the patch, I have another issue.  My laptop's dvd player is pretty much shot in terms of writing to disks.  All I currently have to transfer files with are a pair of jumpdrives, including one 1GB.  If this 876 meg file is the actual patch, can I use the jumpdrive to transfer this file to the other computer?  I'm guessing that I can.


Any help would be greatly appreciated.
