trouble downloading beta

does not download

I'm having trouble downloading the beta v1.1 of sins of a solar empire. The Impulse screen says "download starting", but nothing ever downloads.

help!!

Click the blue ORB in the upper-left, and under PREFERENCES select the "new download mechanism".
