Discharging missile mechanics

splash?

What are the mechanics behind discharging missiles, like, aoe, which icon means it's in which mode. Idk but i've never actually noticed any splash attack at all, maybe i'm just too noob for this or maybe the splash is really tiny. Also, is it ok to keep it on autocast or is the AI really stupid? i notice my ships just standing around aimlessly when i try to move them.

I think you mean the Vasari upgrade to missiles where the Assailants will stop moving and fire the "charged" missiles?

If that's the case, I don't advise leaving it on autocast if you're up against someone using Illuminators. Mobility is an advantage there. Against TEC/Vasari though, it's not too bad an idea. Take them in close before you fire it, but manually turn it on yourself. The autocast on this ship is rather stupid and much better when you use it.

This ability is rather finicky. It does have an effect. I've never been entirely sure about what I was looking at, but I think when you fire this missile, there will be "lasers" going from ship to ship that you hit, the lasers go back and forth. That's what thia ability does for its "area of effect".

I thought those lasers were something with the pulse beams on a Capital ship, and I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that's what this upgrade does.

this is broken in 1.05 if you leave it on autocast
ships just happen to be stuck after you destroy everything in a system without being able to move at all. You can bypass it if you manually activate the ability one more time ... but it sucks to have this
I never research this because of the bug I just told you
