Original campaign compatibility with Twilight of Armor

Alright, I finally buckled and got the whole GalCivII set. I'm eager to start the game right from the get go with all the fancy new improvements that the expansions have provided. Unfortunately, I cannot seem to figure out how to launch the original campaign from the expansion. Anybody know how I can get all the fancy new goodness enabled in the basic campaign?
