trade ships and phase stabilizers?

im just curious, when you have trade ports set up and phase stabilizers at every planet you have a trade port at. Would that increase the amount of credits you get, or does when the trade ships arrive at the next trade port not matter at all?

I don't think it matters at all when they arrive at the port. (but it does protect your trade ships a lot!)
