Can anyone please wich tools are the best one for creating shipmodels.

The game was made with softimage|XSI, AFIK, and there are some pdf's describing how to export. XSI is also one of the very best modelling apps around. Their Foundation version is not very expensive compared to other packages, and the ModTool version is free, but I am unsure if the latter works with Sins.

Mod tool is probably the best program to use for making ship models it is easier than other 3D moddeling programs and yes it does work for sins

I use Maya 7.0 to model; but that's because I learned how to model with it and any other program would just confuse me.

Ive worked with a few modeling programs (although Im not very good with them) but there interfaces all seem to be relatively the same.

I personally use 3ds or the free XSI Mod Tool.

Err, modeling takes a very long time when you want a high quality. Let alone the texture..

those models will all be in the SGI (stargate Invasion) mod although not out yet the models will be far better than what u have pictures of now XD just were getting hung up on the texturing as we need more people to help :)

hhi everyone, can someone help me? i ude the 3ds max, and ive done some models but when i try to export them only a part of the model gets exported the wich i select

Your easiest solution would probably be to download XSI ModTools (free) and import your Max model. Then read the PDF's Stardock has on setting up models for export from XSI. Modelling and texturing in Max but doing setup and export from XSI would probably be the cleanest approach.

I have a few 3dds models of stargate ship but they are officialy for star wars empire at war. can someone please modify them for me for sins of a solar empire.

Please help me
