.NET Framework, not compatible?

Essentially the title...  I hear that the reason that particle forge does not work is that it does not have .NET 2.0, well when I tried downloading it, it simply said it was not compatible with the current version...so umm what now??

Well, that one downloaded correctly, but now (just like before) it just says "Particle Forge has encountered an error and needs to close. Click here to send the error report..."

Thats probably not the reason that Partical forge doesn't work i had the same problem earlier it's missing a Dll file called d3dx9_32.dll you can search it on google and you can download it put all of the files in partical forge in the main sins of a solar empire area along with the .Dll file then it should work. you can also move the sins Developer into the same place because it needs the same .dll file to work.

Well, I moved it around, and it still has the same result...

One thing that may be the problem is: being read only...If this is it, you'll have to tell me how to change it...

You might want to try the latest .NET. Seems to be 3.5 right now.

You need to make sure you have the right version of the framework for the app. So you may need 2.0 or 3.5
