Terror Star Animation question

Hi everyone,

While browsing the internet, I came across some interesting pics. When playing TA my terror star in action always looks like this. Is it possible to make it look like this? This second kind of attack looks really cool. :D

Also, is it possible to somehow slow down the speed of the animation, so that the destruction could be well seen? In my games it lasts for a tenth of a second.

Can't say for certain, but the latter seems as a mockup to me, I don't recall it ever actually looking like that in the game.

Another hint that it's a mockup:

Terror Star on turn 1. (Look at the date in the top right corner)
Plus the Star itself is much larger than the planet or the sun itself.

They probably built a 'Terror Star' using the ingame parts that are available and replaced either a starting ship or cheated the ship and added the effect. The blurry edges of the 'beam' (as opposed to other ingame effects) adds to that theory.

Not to mention it's using the dark avatar UI. :p That's one of the earliest mock up shots of Twilight, sent to gaming sites like IGN and Gamespot.

Still, this could be a nice addition. If I could mod and tweak with animations and graphics, I'd give it a try.
