Noob ... What do I have?

Hello all,

I bought the Galactic Civlizations II: Dread Lord Game of the year edition yesterday.

Installed, played a little ... then selected "update game" from the starting menu.

Stardock loaded, looks like it downloaded some things ... but not entirely sure if the newly released bits came through.

Is there is a way to tell what version/release of the game I am currently playing?

Thanks in advance ... looks like a great game with strong developer and community support.

When you start up either Dread Lords or Dark Avatar (you have both the base game and the first expansion in the Gold edition), look down in the corner. It'll tell you what version you're running.

I've got mine all updated, and my version numbers are:

Dread Lords: 1.5

Dark Avatar: 1.80g

GotY is just a refreshed SKU of DL only, IIRC.

OK ... thanks.

From what I'm reading on the sites (this one included) ... I should probably go ahead and get the expansions.

Seems to be a lot of new & fun additions.

Keep in mind with the Game of the Year, you already own the first expansion, Dark Avatar. So all you need now is the Twilight of the Arnor expansion.
