Ships don't appear

Please help!

I installed Sins of a Solar empire today. I went into the tutorial mode, and all i could see were the red symbols. I didn't see the ship models, or the planets, or those lines they said we're supposed to see. The interface was there (the command card, menu, etc etc) but none of the ship models showed. I tried lowering the model setting, but it didn't work. I tried starting a different game, that didn't work either.

Please help

GeForce 4 MX? That's a 6 year old budget set of graphics. Try the lowest of everything graphics-wise and see what that does.

Either way, I'd recommend upgrading if you can.

The Geforce 4 MX is pretty far below the minimum specs (it's little better than a Geforce 2). Try the workaround described in reply #2 of this thread if you want to try and get the graphics working without buying a new video card, though I can't make any guarantees.
