Skinning IE7 tabs...is it possible?

I finally bit the bullet and upgraded to IE7.  Love the tabs browsing, but hate the blue tabs!  Is there anyway I can skin those to match my blinds?  Also, what about the toolbar icons?  The ones I make for my blinds don't show up in IE7...is there a template for those?

Running XP, SKS5...

Tabs only get skinned if you have Vista.

The toolbar icons aren't used with IE7. There are a couple of images scattered about SKS6 that can be skinned. Look for navigational images (or something like that). When I get a chance to look em up in SKS I'll post but I am at work now, hardly working. :)

Thanks, NT....I figured that was the case. I will just have to put up with the blue tabs.

I saw those icons in SKS 6. I was wondering if I could use those for IE icons in my blind...skinning them to match my blinds. I know I would have to skin them, and make them the same size as those for XP.

I don't need any bells and whistles so IE7 works flawlessly for me. I use windowblinds which is designed to skin IE and not FF so much. It would be rather dumb to use FF in my case. FF is so buggy I have trouble understanding why people have so much biased pride about it.... but to each his own. :)

jazzy..
Look for

IE Navigational arrows
Navigational arrows
- normal
- mouseover
- disable
- pressed
- background (this image can be tricky)
COntrolPanel
-Search icons
- Navigation icons

I think that is all of em....

... and what about addons, specially if you have the bad idea to want to uninstall all Firefox stuff  :(  ?

Using SKS5 you can't skin the images like NT stated. You can skin the images with SKS6 but again like NT stated unless you have Vista you will not see them skinned. When you open your skin in SKS6 click on the Edit Explorer/IE Shell parts and you will see the Vista sections. You can do them if you can find someone who has Vista to test things out for ya.  :CONGRAT:

Oh right.. derrr...
I use the Show tree in edit windows, not the default catagories. Follow Bushman to the images if you use it that way. :)

EDIT: Actually, I believe it's only the tabs that remain unskinned. The icons still get skinned as long as your using IE7. I am not sure at all, but I think so. :)

You can skin it? O:)

buggy: can't really see that actually using FX since version 1.5. The current one (3.04) is very stable. I am always amazed on how different pages look on IE. I was on my friends computer looking at youtube and asked him "what's this?" He said - "oh that. That's an advertisement". }:) So used to see clean pages!

If we're talking about features I could fill the whole page. :X In-page searching is solved soo much better in FX. Web standard compatibiliy is much higher - you only realize it when you start writing web pages. Also (unlike in IE) all the plugins are free and you can even ask the authors to put in new features (try that with IE). As security goes FX gets regular fixes, IE still has lots of security holes. The whole open source aspect is really good as you can look at the source code of your extensions to see whether they "phone home" if you are security conscious.

you can take all your Extensions with you using the FEBE extension - this can backup extensions / passwords /cookies / preferences / form history / themes.

Oh did I mention you can skin Firefox? :D And yes you can skin the tabs, too.
