PLEASE HELP ME! How do play a mod?

I'm new to SoaSE and i really want to play some of these mods but i can't figure out how to get to show up on the game

download them first.

Then place them here:

C:\Users\*YOUR USER NAME*\AppData\Local\IronClad Games\SinsofaSolarEmpire\Mods
^^ For vista

Then run Sins, and go to Menu -> Options -> Mods, and enable the mod.

ok but now i can't find the "local" part part of it ?????????????? I just don't get it

Please note that some of these directories are hidden by default. To unhide them, go to Control Panel -> Folder Options -> View and set yourself to view hidden files and folders.

What file type are mods?

In Vista:
C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Mods\mod name\mod folders such as GameInfo, etc.

In XP:
C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Mods\mod name\mod folders such as GameInfo, etc.

Make sure you unzip the mod if it comes as .zip or .rar.
