Help - Loading Downloaded Custom Map

I downloaded a map consisting of one xyz.galaxy file and put it in C:\Program Files\Stardock Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Galaxy.

But it doesn't appear in custom maps to play when I start the game. What am I doing incorrectly or what more do I need to do?

I have even tried this path: C:\Documents and Settings\your username\Local Settings\Application Data\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire\Galaxy.

No luck.

Got no help, but if anyone else looking at this post, figured it out. Must edit the xyz.galaxy map with notepad or other text editor and change the version from 0 to 1. It is the first line. Works then. Hope this might help others that might read.

You had the correct location (for most maps) the first time. If it is an older map though, you may need to open it in notepad and change the version at the top from 0 to 1.
