How to determine compatibility of WindowBlinds and skins

I have an old, licensed version 4.6 of WindowBlinds.  I have recently visited WinCustomize and have seen a ton of new skins, but I have also noticed that the authors of some of the skins have specifically mentioned a need for WB5 or later.  Other authors make no mention of a required version of WB.  Is there any way of determining if a skin is compatible with an older version of WB other than downlaoding the skin and trying it?  I'm reluctant to take that approach in case a newer skin might mess up my existing WB setup.  (I know I can buy a new version of WB -- I just want to know if I'm missing something on WinCustomize that would provide the compatibility information.)

no.

unless the artist posts the info.. pretty much only way is to try it

don't see how a newer designed skin would mess with WB's setup - only draw back I see is the newer designed skin might not display properly in all respects

Thanks for the quick reply. Is there anyplace I can find a comparison of the features available in versions 4, 5, and 6? I don't mind paying for a newer version, but so far I'm just a casual user and there might not be much in the new versions that would be of interest/use to an old geezer like me.
