The skin is actually Artifice. ;)

Do you have nView on? It doesn't work with Windowblinds.

Thanks guys. It was enabled, have disabled it. Then I rebooted windows, and restarted windowBlinds and the tranparency is still not working.

What stranger is that when I click the START button, the blur & semi-transparency work fine, it is only the 'Taskbar' which appears not to be displaying correctly. Any advice please?

Thanks

WB Configure > look & feel > transparency & blur = have you changed the taskbar setting? or any of the others? or vista-ized?

Do you have active desktop enabled?

An easy way to tell is if your desktop icons text has a blurred shadow under it.  If not then you are in active desktop mode.

WindowBlinds on XP requires that the desktop is in normal non active desktop mode for taskbar transparency to work.

The display properties desktop tab has a customize button.  If you click that and then click the web tab you should be able to see if any HTML items are enabled.  I notice you seem to have a calendar on the wallpaper and I suspect this is why active desktop mode is enabled.

Thanks ever so much. That worked! I was using ActiveDEsktop to setup wallpaper as that can use jpg files. After disabling it, it seems to be working fine. Cheers!

Windows will use jpgs for wall, so will wallpaper section of WB.

When I download a bitmap wall I always convert to a jpg to save HD space.
