Too many degrees, someone take some please

Well, the weather outside isn't necessarily frightful, but it's plenty frackin' warm.  The thermometer reading in my car topped 100 and I'm fairly certain it wasn't just because the car had been sitting in the sun letting the roof warm up that much more than the ambient temperature.

It's just plain HOT outside.  Too hot.  In my book it's not fit for man nor beast.  I know some folks like it, but I'd rather see highs in the mid-80's so at least my air conditioner has a fighting chance at keeping me cool.  Hopefully the temps will level out for the late afternoon/evening.[more]

I'd ask for some afternoon thunderstorms to come along and clear the air but we had more than our fair share of those the other day and went without air conditioning and power on Thursday past.  Losing a freezer and fridge full of food isn't fun, and isn't all that cheap, so I think I'll wish for a slower cool down instead.

At least after today tomorrow shouldn't feel as bad (they do say you get used to it, right?)
