BootSkin IRQL Error

Hey! I don't know if this is the place to post this, but I could use some help on this issue I have with BootSkin.

Every time I use a custom skin with BootSkin, I get the boot screen as expected, but after that my pc gives a blue screen of death with the message IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. Changing the skin back to default from safe mode fixes the bug, but I'd like to know if there's any way to prevent this bsod from happening. Could this have to do with compatibility issues? My Windows XP is Dutch, so maybe the file is different. I admit, my pc is an old piece of s*** but the software on it is quite modern. If it's needed, here are my system specs:

256MB RAM

20GB HDD

Intel Pentium III 999 MHz

No noteworthy graphics card or sound card.

OS: Windows XP Home Edition, Service Pack 2, Dutch

Well, I hope anyone here knows how to fix the problem...

BootSkin is an old, unsupported program. It doesn't work with all BIOS'. There are other versions of BootSkin: Download Link  why not try one of those.
