Help with the Map Desginer.

Hey guys, finally trying to create my own map. But so far, despite trying different settings. I usually end up with these:

- A Donut.
- A broken system.
- The starting planet is wayyyyyyyyyy apart from the other planets. (Even when I set the phase lane distance to minimum).

How can I create a nice balance map like the default maps. Since with these maps, as you can see will be a nightmare because there are so many jump distances. (It looks like I usually get 2 connection per planets, and rarely three).

I recommend downloading galaxy Forge from the download section of the site. Much easier and better then the map designer.

Can you turn up the phase lane connectivity and see if that helps?

try that, and it doesn't do anything. But anyway, I'm using Galaxy Forge now, take a little more time but I got exactly what I want :)

Ok, good to hear.   Here's something to try if anybody else has this problem.

Maybe what is happening is that you have only a single ring where planets are allowed, and it has a really small area.  Try turning the maximum distance up and the minimum distance down.
