WindowBlinds 6 Full in Win XP - Start Menu Problem

Hello friends! I had been using an older free version of WindowBlinds for a long time, and after being satisfied with it, decided to purchase the latest version last night. After browsing a ton of new skin options available, I downloaded several, but I found that consistently they do not fully load the Start Menu part of the skin. For example, I LOVE the Dragon theme, but I don't have the cool animated dragon as part of my Start Menu. Here's a screenshot of what I get (in the Dragon skin):

Any suggestions on what to do/other programs required to make this work would be extremely appreciated!! (I don't have a lot of experience with other Stardock programs, so please be gentle with terms and such hehe). Thanks!!

kblynn did you uninstall the trail version before installing the paid version?

If not this could be your problem. First open WB and set it to the default windows skin and hit apply, then uninstall WB and run a clean up program like CCleaner, also a registry cleaner wouldn't hurt. Reboot then reinstall WB and reboot one more time.

If you did uninstall the trail version still follow the above, you could have just gotten a bad download. Hopefully this should clear up your problems. Post back on what happens.

Oh, and very glad you decided to get WindowBlinds. Welcome.

Have you check out any of the other programs? Oh go ahead.  ;)

go into wb and click settings, and make sure you check (tick)

Ignore the the taskbar and startmenu defined in the skin and use the one set below

and make sure this is checked too (same page)

Always use the shellstyle defined in..

kblynn how did you download WB, as a stand alone, SDC or Impulse?

It looks like you're using the classic version of the start menu.

Right click on the taskbar > properties > start menu > make sure the top option is checked.

I DL'd it from the direct link provided in the e-mail sent to me after purchasing. That last option fixed it! Thanks everyone for your support and suggestions :) I'm sure that uninstalling/cleaning didn't hurt anything, though ;) THANKS!!! :)

Okay, glad to hear you got it running. As a suggestion I would download Impulse and use that for any further updates to WindowBlinds. WWW Link
