This week it's just Spencer and myself talking about the upcoming GUI Championships event scheduled for later in the year.  Clocking in at about 22 minutes this week we talk about the 2006 event, some of the things we learned from it and what we hope to accomplish with the 2008 event.  Also of note in this episode is the changes to our sound setup.  We've added in a soundboard and higher grade microphones to try and improve the recording quality.  So my end of things should be a lot clearer and the volume should be a lot more even.

We hope you enjoy Episode 7, even though we lack an interesting and entertaining guest.  For #8 we're hoping to get Jorge of WinStep fame to join us to talk a bit about what it's like to develop a GUI customization application.  Should be very interesting

Beyond the 2 obvious categories of WB and IP...I think a way to get more skinners from diverse categories would be to have a Suite category.(teams or even individuals could produce some integrated themes) This could also mean having a miscellaneous category for all the satellite skins...skinners could enter whatever their specialty was and compete in a broad range of skins AND have something included in a suite. This could mean a media player skinner wouldnt be restricted to one format(could be WMP,Winamp,Xion,DX) Your a dockman?No prob...you could still enter in 2 categories even tho there wasnt an official Dock category. You might leave out walls and booters in the miscellaneous category but they could still be included in a Suite.

LOL, well they did call me a the "biggest chicken on there." But that's ok...I don't care.

The quality did sound better (rofl @ adjusting knobs), but uh...when can we expect to find out what other categories will be in the competition this year? IR's idea sounds good.
