DesktopX Widgets from Way Back

What was hot in 2005

https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.aspx?libid=34&p=30

In the last couple of articles we have looked at wallpapers and cursor themes from a few years back, so today I thought we could take a browse through the DesktopX widget gallery and see what we come up with.  I went back to 2005 to see "what was hot" then.

As always, let us know if you remember or still use any of these widgets today.

A couple there I've used, couple I recently found, and a couple I had missed. Good article. Only thing is the "Click to view." link brings you to a "There are no skins to display. " page.

I'm still using the CABAL cpu/ram meter. I find it to be less intrusive than most of the other meters out there. Sets well at the bottom of my screen for easy viewing.

Use that here too , or rather the stand-alone version of the radar that he did. Comes in handy to have on my desktop for work.

Now that sounds like something that would be really cool looking and need an I.R. windowblind to go with it.

The link for Omni Mail by Tiggz is for version 1 but there is a version 2 which I use. Anything from Tiggz - my preferred skinner - is very welcomed.
