Hi all,
This is my first post and let me just start by saying I bought windowblinds, then objectdock and subsequently objectdesktop 2008.
I am very happy with objectdock, windowblinds, tweakvista and a few other things. But, let me say that objectbar, rightclick and virtual desktops suck. They seem like they don't fit into the package, at all.
Impulse is a good tool, but it just seems like stardock crammed in some old crap to make you buy the bundle. Half of the tools do not install on vista and seriously the only things i use are objectdock and windowblinds so why did I but objectdesktop. I am thinking of asking for my money back.
A few of my woes:
- Could not get objectbar to look anything like my objectdock, at all. Despite tinkering with themes, skins and files, I just couldnt get it to fit into the overall look. Just when I thought i had it perfect it crashes or some content doesnt display properly. i.e. CPU, virtual desktops.
- Right click is cool but seems a little unstable in vista, sometimes I click and the menu just disapears.
- Deskscapes is sloooooow. I have a rocking system, duu 2.8 4 gb yada yada...
- Virtual desktops seems buggy as heck and glitchy when used with objectbar.
- Even though in objectbar and rightclick it says you need skinstudio to edit the skins when you click it it errors and none of the skins show up in skinstudio pro that came in the bundle.
I am sure other things will crop up, but for the moment I don't think I got what I paid for with the bundle.
