1. When you complained on ICO earlier tonight about not being able to host I gave you the direct-link to my guide (Networking and SINS). If you're telling me that you didn't bother to download/read the guide then what you're doing wrong is refusing to help yourself. I have always made myself available to answer any follow-up questions (and in many cases talked people through unique hosting issues on my personal TeamSpeak server).

Should you change your mind, you can find the guide (Networking and SINS) linked-to from my sticky in the Technical forum or the very bottom of the the "Technical FAQ".


2. No there will never be dedicated servers for SINS. SINS is P2P not client-server.


Patch version 1.1 will introduce optional NAT-T (NAT traversal) type netcode which will be able to "tunnel" past routers/firewalls so those of you who cannot (because you're at a university dorm etc.), or simply can't be bothered to follow the instructions in my guide will be able to host.

Hey I've been trying to address the host problem with Ironclad Online. Nobody at Stardock and Ironclad Games are listening.

About this dedicated server thing.

This game called TA spring has Hosting bots which host the game for players.

I wonder if sins could have 3 or 4 dedicated host bots , that could host the game for people.
