iconpackager 4 issue

Since updating to iconpackager 4.00.165, when I run the program, an activation window pops up asking me to enter my email address and registration number(which I do not have since, I updated thru Impulse...I have uninstalled it, rebooted and reinstalled thru impulse and I still have the same problem.  I can't run the program witrhout the activation code.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Do you have Object Desktop Ultimate? I believe you would use that S/N

Yep, use that plus the email you registered with and it should activate. I ran into this problem with an earlier release of IP 4.

Astyanax0 please try this here and see if it works for you as it did me.

In Impulse on the my desktop tab - right click the IP4 button and a drop down menu will appear. There select re-activate - then try running the program again.

I'm currently going through the same issue that started with my Icon Packager but now it's with my Icon Explorer and I am in contact with Travis of Stardock Support trying to resolve this. What's weird is my Icon Packager all of a sudden started working again after uninstalling and reinstalling.

Every time I attempt to open Icon Explorer or import an icon, I'm prompted to enter my e-mail and serial activation. But once it's entered I receive the message that I've exceeded my activation threshold.

I've never and I do mean never had a single problem with a Stardock application until now after upgrading to Icon Packager version 4 through Impulse.

It appears that this is an issue that others have contracted and I am certain that Stardock is aware and is scrambling to find a solution.

When I hear from SS I'll contact an admin and have them post that solution.

We just need to hang in there.

thanks for the info anymore, by the way the error says 'old product application error'
I previously stated that it said 'old application error'
Hopefully Stardock will get on this, so I can use icon packager.
Thanks again.

That's cool RustySam, my IP and Icon Explorer are now working as well. What I had to do was run the uninstaller from Impulse and then reinstalled from Impulse.

Once you get a clean install, you shouldn't be prompted to activate at all. At least that's what happened to me.

Anyway, I'm glad it worked out for both of us!
