Query about downloading and StarDock

StarDock installation and backup process

I have played the Sins demo and am now anxious to get a copy as soon as possible...

Unfortunately my home internet connection is somewhat slow and unreliable so downloading from there just isn't going to work.

Fortunately I *can* download from work but, I don't have access to a DVD burner...

Now I understand that the StarDock software downloads Sins, "automatically installs" it, and allows me to make a disk copy that includes the StarDock installer. So, I have a couple of questions...

1/ Instead of burning a DVD can I just copy the whole lot on to a USB pendrive without having to jump through some sort of complicated hoops? An obviously named directory and install file would be great even if I have to reinstall the StarDock stuff to make use of it...

2/ Assuming the first is viable, will I actually need the internet back home working to install and run it?

If no to the first or yes to the second I guess it will be a couple of weeks wait for a retail box instead!

The installation at download time is not actually required (if there are regulations on such at work, that could be important); SDC will allow you to download directly to an archive. From there it's just a matter of going to SDC's folder in explorer and copying off the archive file, by whatever means you choose that is big enough to hold it. You'll also need to copy the SDC installer so you can install SDC and use it to install the archive at home.

Internet will be required at install or first run, but that's pretty trivial and even dial-up should have no issue with it. If your internet is completely down then you'd need to run an email over to somewhere you have access, send it off, and return the reply back to your machine.
