trouble with custom maps

Hi' Im having trouble playing maps that i have downloaded off this site and maps made in galaxy forge. When i copy the maps into "program files\stardock games\sins of a solar empire\galaxy" none of the maps show up in the galaxy list and when i copy them into "c:\documents and setting\*\local settings\application data\ironclad games\sins of a solar empire\galaxy" where custom maps are saved, only some of the downloaded files show up in my galaxy list and when i play them, it immediately goes to a defeat screen. What am i missing? I am currently using the newest updates.

Put your maps in the first location that you mentioned. When Sins of a Solar Empire got updated, the version number for all the maps changed. Make sure that your old maps work by opening them up in notepad and changing the second line from reading "versionNumber 0" to "versionNumber 1".
