XPSP3 IE7 behaviours in ODPLus

IE7 constanlty hangs when closing tabs after the SP3 updates have been installed. This only occurs when launched by ODPlus

christonetzer I'm running XP Home 32bit with SP3 and ODPlus. I use the Internet Docklet Icon in the Zoomer bar to launch IE7 also.

Just tried opening several tabs and then closing them since I had not noticed the problem before. Everthing seems to work fine.

When you say the IE7 hangs when closing tabs, just what do you mean? Tabs delay closing or are you saying the IE7 stops working?

The docklet should only be working as a shortcut to IE7 so not sure how that could be causing the problem.

When you try this do you have any other programs runnings that could be interferring with IE7?

Also on XPSP3 here. Just launched/closed re-launched/closed randomly about 20 tabs straight from OD+, using direct url addresses in OD icons, can't create a problem. Seems like you've got something else going on there...

A/V is Zone Alarm security Suite

Less than 3 tabs on closing causes ie7 to in effect become not responding in state although there is no excessive CPU activity related to this task so it Just "Hangs".

Have gone into Hotter Waters and installed IE8 Beta

I'm not sure you want to do yet. IE8 really isn't ready for prime time, or so what I have read about it seems to present. Why not try FF, it has been proven to work with stuff here.

Have you looked on MS forums to see if it is a known problem?
