Hotkey to autocreate fleets?

Maybe I'm going crazy, but I just reinstalled galciv2 to get the two expansion packs and re-enjoy the game.  I seem to recall there was a button that would automatically group ships that are stacked into the largest fleets your logistics allow. 

Was this a hotkey that got removed, or did it never exist at all? Or better yet, is it still around, and I have just forgotten what it is?

There's one, 'F' but only works after you have selected the ones you want to combine. I've already made a suggestion on the dev journal post "slam my game" for something that will combine everything in a spot. Without the need to select them all.

Fingers are crossed, I'm hopeing something like this would be simple and easy to implement ;)

It actually started out in DL where you could just select a stack and hit F and create fleets, but was changed in DA where you had to select all the ships first to the dismay of many.

I sure hope it goes back to the old way, its nice to custom build fleets, when it is needed, but (for me) more often it's nice to just dump all the ships in a space into the same fleet and be done with it.
