Can't get V1.04 to install

 Need a bit of help getting V1.04 up and running. When i got to to install it i get an error saying "the path registry value at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Stardock\Drengin.net\sins appears to be blank. Please be sure you have the game installed."  I have no clue what any of that means but i do know i have the game installed:)  Thanks in advance for the help!

If you run regedit via the Start Menu's Run option, and browse to that location, does it exist (don't change anything in regedit if you don't know anything about doing so)?

I ran regedit and tried to find the registry. I got as far as HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE, but there is no stardock to be found on the software list?? How can this be as i play the game just about every day? I have the game on an external hard drive don't know if that should mater but I have all my other games on it and they show up on the software list. Thanks for the help thus far!!

Well, if worst comes to worst you could always uninstall it and re-download it from SDC or Impulse, those are always patched to the latest version. I'm afraid I don't know what the cause of your issue could be.

Got it to install!! Thanks for all the help Annatar11 and Kyro!!

Here is where i went wrong. I should have posted that i installed the game for a different computer then the one I am playing the game on, as i posted i have it on an external drive. So I'm assuming that by doing so the comp I'm playing the game on did not get a proper directory. All i had to do is take my drive back to the comp i originally installed the game from and the update installed with no problems.

Oh yeah that'd do it, since the registry is written during the install process :P So since you never actually ran the installer on the other PC, it never wrote the registry entries. ;) Glad you got it working!
