how do i jump galaxies

i haven't found out how to jump beyond my own starting galaxy. it gets boring just watching the ai jump to another new system.

I'm guessing you mean "solar system" or "star" (a galaxy has millions of stars).

You need to research the "long jump" equivalent for whatever race you're playing.

Advent: Distant Visualization
TEC: Long Range Jumps
Vasari: I forget, but poke around in the research trees to find it.

Then you can right-click a different star. Your selected ships will go to your closest star and then hyperspace to the target star.
