Create Custom Fonts with FontStructor

A damn cool webapp

http://fontstruct.fontshop.com/

Ever thought about creating a custom font but weren't quite sure how to go about it?  Not quite sure how to put the font file together?  Well, the folks at FontShop have put together one of the coolest customization web apps I've seen; FontStructor.  Using an incredibly simple interface, you can draw your font out letter by letter, pixel by pixel.  It even has a large selection of customized shapes, or "bricks" as they call them in the application.  Think of FontStructor as essentially a LEGO kit for making fonts.

The FontStructor drawing interface.

When you finish your custom font, you can share it with anyone on the site.  There are currently over 360 user created fonts  on the site free to download.  The site will automatically convert your drawings into a TrueType Font file, making it instantly ready-to-use on virtually any PC.

For folks who really want to use custom fonts in their skins, themes, icons etc.  I highly recommend taking a look at this cool tool.

Points to DoctorNick for pointing this app out to me.

That's very cool!

One of the first things I did when I got my TabletPC was to make a font out of my scrawl.  This is better.  :)

Are u kidding me? time ago, when I post an article asking for a gallery for fonts, people treat me as an insane idiot who didn't know what I was talking about.., that no one will take the time to do a full font pack., and only few will do it so create a gallery that would be empty was not going to be, EVER!!!! :( Time has pass., and it seems that my insane idea wasn't so crazy.... :NOTSURE:
