Unable to connect

Here's the deal, as of right now, neither my buddy nor I are able to connect to the server when trying to start a game. Now I've read about the router and firewall fixes, but there's one little problem there. I do not own a router, I'm plugged into the modem. And as for firewall, I always make a point to turn them off when gaming online. (Except Windows Firewall, I'm not even sure if I even have that.) Any ideas?

Your cable/dsl modem may be in fact functioning as a router.

Check my guide "Networking and SINS" (linked-to from the very bottom of the Technical FAQ) for more information regarding same.


google how to get onto ((insert make model of your cable/dsl modem here)) and look for the things to change stated in my guide.
