Problem with Mods

I am haveing a problem with the game. I have installed the Adama mod correctly. I go into mods and select it and click load mod at start then exit the game. When I restart sins the mod is no longer selected. Also I am unable to keep my name or the 3 picks selected for multi player it defaults to newplayer and starting pics. Anyone have any idea whats wrong?

Does the mod work fine before you exit the game? Enable it then play it without doing load on startup and restarting...
Tell me if im stupid...but i never use load on startup. In fact one of the mods i downloaded will not work on startup. I always manually load whichever i want in game...
