how do i turn off team icons?

In game I'd like to take nice screenshots without the round team icon displayed on each ship... how do i do this? i toggled every single option interface options and couldn't find it

Cinematic mode. It's up near the menu button at the top of the screen. If you've got a lower-end computer, this will really slow things down, but it makes everything a lot prettier for screenshots.

ahh thanks a lot

have all settings maxed. 8800gt/q6600 it should handle it :P

IC/SD maybe an option in the "user interface" (or whatever that menu item is), should allow this too?

Also, to take screenshots without any of the HUD visible, hit shift-ctrl-Z.

Often in singleplayer mode, I'll turn everything off in the middle of a fierce battle, pause it, and just rotate the screen and stare. The game looks like art!

How to turn off icons?

Icon turn-ons include: adoration, graphic artists, organized religion.

Icon turn-offs include: paparazzi, ignorant people, long walks on the beach at sunset.

Honestly, is it possible to get tired on this joke? I say no.
